Re: Dartford - and surrounding areas
In all honesty Dartford isn't that bad.

Compared with Thurrock just over the water, Grays and Aveley especially, Dartford is much better, great schools, good transport links and quiet streets, if you're off Dartford Road or Princes Road for example.

Plaistow.

I've drunk in their for 23 years. always been ok. There's the public side that is a bit rougher and the saloon side, but never any bother in there personally Who was the bird you knocked about with? been tarted up a bit, but a good solid local boozer and good for football

And here we have the WHO nomination for Shithole of the Week.

I'm suprised anybody asks about a place on here - you just know most will call it a shithole particulary those that do not live anywhere near the place concerened.

Re: Dartford - and surrounding areas
I live in Hawley Just outside of Dartford and have done for 13 years now, love it here, near to all the good schools, couple of good pubs near by. Crime is low, semi Rural close to A2 A20 M25 and M20. Biggest downside is when Tunnel is fucked Traffic around Dartford, Sutton at hone, Hawley comes to a stand still.
Would recommend Hawley, takes me about 30-40 mins to Upton Park. Of course come a few years Train direct from ebbsfleet straight to Olympic stadium

Re: Dartford - and surrounding areas
Like anywhere Johnny. I was referring to the town centre. Outskirts of most towns are decent, and some very nice drums in Eltham

Re: Dartford - and surrounding areas
Badger,

The Dart was an absolute dump, knocked about with the bird who used to run it. Nearly got glassed in there for asking someone for a football score, fucking hell.

Has it improved?

I live in eltham and love living there, when people say it's a shit hole is that based on visiting the mc Donald's in the high street once ? All the roads off westmount road up to eltham park are lovely, period houses great schools and 20 mins into cannon street. Now I have lived in dartford to and that is a hole, could not wait to move out of there.

There is not much in Greenhithe, ASDA and Bluewater aside,

Mind you will all change in a few years, when we will have a Massive Theme Park on our doorstep.

Where abouts? Get yourself down the Lads of the Village. Sean runs it. Unless you're nearer the top, by the Bull?

Avoid.

Re: Dartford - and surrounding areas
I currently reside in Wilmington. Don't be fooled by the nicer houses and the little country village feel it has. Cocaine on tap and the pubs are shite
